Hilton HHonors

Free WiFi is finally here! As of June 4, 2015, when you book your hotel through the Hilton channels and not through an online travel agency (e.g. Expedia, Priceline, etc.)basic Wi-Fi is free of charge for all Hilton HHonors members! And Starting in the summer of 2015, premium Wi-Fi will be free for Diamond members. The switch should happen in the Americas in late June and later in the summer for all other locations. In more tech news, Hilton’s digital check-in and room selection technology is now live across more than 4,100 hotels spanning 11 brands worldwide.

Hilton’s Double Your HHonors promotion rewards members with double points or double miles (with any of Hilton’s 60+ airline partners) for each eligible stay at ANY Hilton hotel or resort! This offer was set to expire but has been extended until August 31st!

You have until June 17th to buy a big bunch of Hilton HHonors points and enjoy a 100% bonus! According to Hilton this is their biggest purchase promotion ever! And what could be better than Hilton’s top two luxury brands rewarding you in three ways? Conrad and Waldorf Astoria properties offer three 2015 promotions that can be stacked together and with other promotions for maximum bonus points on paid and award nights! And two of the three promotions have no cap on the bonus points you can earn!

Keep an eye out for Hyatt’s newly announced Sweet Dreams Sweet Rewards promotion as well as a new Diamond Elite Offer/Challenge that will be up on TRVLVIP tomorrow! And Hyatt was awarded Best Elite Program at the 2015 Freddie Awards! Although we didn’t get a vote, we really enjoy our Diamond status and can understand why Hyatt won!

Some great Perks are on the site this month. A few highlights include summer savings of up to 25%, several fantastic Hawaii promotions and the wonderful Guest of Honor program that allows Diamond members to share their benefits while gifting that special someone a free night!

Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Rewards

Marriott was awarded Program of the Year at the 2015 Freddie Awards…now that’s a BIG accomplishment! And to keep things innovative on the tech front, travelers can now ask anything, anytime, anywhere with the new mobile chat feature from Marriott. Remember that basic Wi-Fi is free for all Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Rewards members and premium Wi-Fi, when available, is free for Gold and Platinum Elite members.

It was recently announced that Delta Hotels and Resorts will recognize the elite status of Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Rewards members starting June 18, 2015, and members will be able to earn and redeem Marriott or Ritz-Carlton Rewards points by early 2016. Marriott acquired Canada based Delta’s 44 hotels in early 2015. Delta’s own rewards program is expected to retire on February 29, 2016. If you’re heading to Canada, keep this in mind.

Have you ever wondered whether you should choose Marriott or Ritz-Carlton Rewards? It’s a good time to find out especially with the lucrative Ritz 2015 double elite credit offer and the 40,000 points summer promotion! We’d suggest switching over to Ritz-Carlton Rewards if you have any plans to stay with Ritz this year because you will still enjoy all your great elite benefits when staying with Marriott as well.

Be sure to check out all of the current Marriott and Ritz Perks and Tips! And remember the industry pairing between Marriott and United – RewardsPlus, which provides excellent reciprocal benefits!

This promotion announcement coincides with the news that Starwood has a brand new vision for Sheraton. And perhaps best of all, you can use those free nights at even the most expensive, highest tier Sheraton hotels in the world!

And remember the industry pairings between Starwood and Uber, Emirates, Caesars, and Crossover Rewards with Deltaall of which provide great reciprocal benefits! We think Starwood has the competition beat with all of their great partnerships! And Starwood was awarded for Best Redemption Ability at the 2015 Freddie Awards! We sure do enjoy our free nights with SPG!
