Alaska Airlines recently formed a partnership with China’s Hainan Airlines and is celebrating with double miles on Hainan flights!
Mileage Plan members must register before their first Hainan flight but no later than September 30 to enjoy double miles on paid flights marketed and operated by Hainan Airlines before October 31, 2015!
In addition to this double miles offer, Mileage Plan members now earn Elite qualifying award miles on qualifying Hainan flights and Hainan’s Fortune Wings Club members will also earn bonus miles for flying on Alaska Airlines!
While members cannot yet redeem miles for award flights or enjoy elite reciprocal benefits on Hainan Airlines flights, those benefits are expected later this year!
Hainan flies to more than 90 cities on four continents including nonstop service between China and Boston, Chicago, Seattle and San Jose. Alaska Airlines provides services to all four of these US cities and the Alaska Airlines hub in Seattle offers direct Hainan flights between Seattle and both Beijing and Shanghai. This provides a great opportunity for those Mileage Plan members across the US en route to China.
