Marriott and United Airline’s RewardsPlus partnership offers great deals for members on both airfare and hotel stays. And to encourage more participants in RewardsPlus, they have come up with a great promotion for new members!
In addition to receiving complimentary Premier Silver status, those who register for RewardsPlus by the end of 2016 and fly a United or United Express-operated flight within 90 days of signing up will receive an additional 50% bonus on the base Premier Qualifying Miles (PQMs)!
Strings attached? Sure there are. Here are the important ones:
You must be a MileagePlus member registered with RewardsPlus and have active Premier Silver status to get the bonus PQMs. If you achieved Premier Silver status independently, without registering for RewardsPlus, you are not eligible.
The bonus PQMs are awarded on all paid (not award) qualifying segments booked in fare classes: F, A, J, C, D, Z, P, Y, B, M, E, U, H, Q, V or W.
Bookings made online incur no service charge, but those made in the US and Canada by phone incur a $25 service charge, a $30 service charge for reservations made at a City Ticket Office and a $50 charge for those made at the airport. Service charges for reservations made from other countries will vary. Be sure to use Promo Code EQM-RS5 at the time of booking.
You must be registered by December 31, 2016, and qualifying travel must be completed by March 30, 2017. Each member may only register once for this promotion.
This offer is only valid for flights operated by United and United Express, not United-operated codeshare flights and other carriers. It does not apply to or impact the calculation of Premier Qualifying Segments, class-of-service bonus miles, class-of-service PQMs, Premier bonus miles, redeemable bonus miles or other promotional PQMs. And it cannot be combined with other offers.
The bonus PQMs are calculated based on the original ticket price regardless of any paid or complimentary upgrades or itinerary changes after purchase. And the bonus PQMs earned count toward Premier status. Expect six to eight weeks before the miles are added to your account.

If you are loyal to United and Marriott and have considered signing up for RewardsPlus, do it this year! Since your qualifying flight needs to be completed within 90 days of registration, we suggest you wait until you know of a trip you are going to take and sign up within 90 days of when you plan to fly so you can participate in this offer.
