As relief efforts for Atlantic communities affected by Hurricane Matthew continue, United Airlines is joining the ranks by offering its members a little incentive to help raise funds.
Now through October 21, 2016, United Airlines MileagePlus members who donate via United’s crowdrise website can receive bonus miles for their contribution.
Donations of $50 to $99 will receive 250 bonus miles, donations of $100 to $249 will receive 500 bonus miles and donations of $250 or more will receive 1,000 bonus miles.
And you get to choose one of four organizations to donate to: American Red Cross, Airlink, Americares or Operation USA.
United will match the first $100,000 raised and will dish out up to 5 million total bonus miles on a first-come, first-serve basis. Make as many donations as you like, but you will only receive the bonus miles once.
