Learn More About the Benefits of Your World Rewards and Check Your Email!

Expiration Date – July 6, 2015

Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) and Emirates partnered up to launch the Your World Rewards program in late 2014. SPG recently sent out “targeted” emails offering 1,000 Starpoints simply for linking your SPG and Emirates Skywards accounts before July 6, 2015. Not everyone was targeted, so check your email.

Regardless of whether or not you were targeted for the 1,000 Starpoints bonus, it may make sense to link your accounts. Check out all the ways you benefit when two world-class luxury brands pair up!

Your World Rewards Benefits for SPG Elite Members:

  • SPG Gold and Platinum members earn 1 Starpoint for each US dollar spent on all eligible Emirates flights - and that is in addition to Skywards Miles for the flight

  • SPG Platinum members also enjoy elite in-airport benefits, including priority check-in, priority boarding and complimentary e-gate access with Emirates

Your World Rewards Benefits for Emirates Elite Skywards Members:

  • Emirates Skywards Silver, Gold and Platinum members earn 1 Skywards reward mile for each US dollar spent with Starwood - and that is in addition to Starpoints on all eligible stays at Starwood hotels and resorts worldwide

  • Emirates Skywards Gold and Platinum members enjoy elite benefits at Starwood hotels and resorts, including 4 p.m. late checkout when available, access to the SPG elite check-in line and complimentary in-room Internet access

The Wrap-up:

It’s an easy 1,000 Starpoints if you were targeted. It will require you to set up an Emirates Skywards account if you don’t already have one. If you ever fly Emirates it is certainly worth signing up to accrue Emirates Skywards reward miles and Starpoints if you are SPG Gold or Platinum!

If you are loyal to Alaska Airlines, Emirates is an earning and redemption partner so you have the choice to credit your miles to Alaska when flying Emirates, but you will not earn Skywards miles or SPG Starpoints if you do so.

One important note: Starwood also partners with Delta and offers Crossover Rewards. You must choose between Crossover Rewards or the SPG/Emirates Your World Rewards program – so choose wisely based on your travel patterns!

If you qualify for the 1,000 Starpoints bonus and/or benefit from Your World Rewards, we’d love a nice note on Facebook and Twitter!
