Get keyed up for your next Starwood stay by registering your mobile phone for SPG Keyless. Once registered, book one stay at a participating hotel using your registered American Express card before February 29, 2016, to enjoy a one-time award of 2,500 Starpoints!
SPG Keyless is now available at over 135 Starwood hotels worldwide including most Aloft, W and Element hotels. The program allows you to skip the front desk by checking in, getting your room number and unlocking your door all through your mobile phone!
Take these steps to earn 2,500 Starpoints and to enjoy keyless entry:
Download the SPG mobile app if you haven’t already.
Go to the home screen of the Starwood mobile app and click on SPG Keyless Registration (you will only need to register once).
Book and stay at least one night at a participating Aloft, W or Element hotel and pay a rate that earns Starpoints with your registered American Express card before February 29, 2016.
If an upcoming stay is eligible for SPG Keyless, you'll get a push notification from SPG; if you choose, simply opt-in (push notifications must be enabled and Bluetooth must be on).
Once at the hotel and your room is ready, you'll get another notification to view your room number and unlock your door.
Keyless entry will work on iPhone 4s and above running iOS 8 and select Android devices running Flavor 4.3 and above. For a list of compatible phones by name see the FAQs. Once registered, expect 2,500 Starpoints to be added to your account within two to four weeks.

The SPG mobile app is certainly very useful. We encourage you to download it! Since we value each Starpoint at 2.2 cents, Starwood is basically giving you $55 of future value simply for registering for and using SPG Keyless, staying once and paying with your American Express card.
Actual use of SPG Keyless is not required (you only need to opt-in) to earn the 2,500 Starpoints bonus, so you have no reason to not sign up! Seems pretty simple to us!
