Earn Miles with Alaska Airlines by Parking, Eating and Shopping at Participating Airports Before March 31, 2016!
Expiration Date – March 31, 2016
By: Liza Weeks
Alaska Airlines has an easy way for Mileage Plan members to earn more miles while traveling with their Thanks Again program. Simply register your credit or debit card and then shop, dine or park at any of the more than 100 participating airports before March 31, 2016, to earn miles!
It’s easy - register and make your first purchase to earn 250 bonus miles. Then receive one mile for every dollar spent at participating airports. Earn 500 bonus miles after cumulatively spending $250 across the Thanks Again network. While this promotion has a stated expiration date of March 31, it is very likely the promotion will be extended.
As you know from prior trvlvip Perks and Tips, we value Alaska Airlines bonus miles at 2 cents per mile, which is the value we would be willing to pay for MileagePlan miles if we could buy them for cash and it’s also the minimum value we suggest you seek when you redeem miles. So the 1,000 miles you can potentially earn with this promotion are worth $20. And the 250 miles you can get just for signing up and making a purchase at any one of the participating airports are worth $5.
So go ahead sign up and then register your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or debit cards to accrue bonus points.
The Wrap-Up:
This is an easy one! Whether you have a layover at a participating airport and plan to spend some time shopping or grabbing a bite, or if you are simply picking up a friend and arrive ahead of time, register for Thanks Again and accrue miles while you kill time!
