Have Elite Status With Hilton? Give Digital Key a Try and Hilton Will Reward You!

Digital Key, a new feature of the Hilton HHonors mobile app, allows HHonors members to bypass lobby check-in and access their rooms, as well as other areas of the hotel that require a key, from their smartphones.
While no promotional page exists announcing bonus points, Hilton is rewarding HHonors Diamond, Gold and Silver Elite members with 2,500 HHonors bonus points to give Digital Key a try in 2015.
While Hilton plans a wide implementation of Digital Key in 2016, it is currently available on Apple devices at select Hilton, Waldorf Astoria, Conrad Hotels and Canopy by Hilton hotels and resorts in the US. Android users can expect Digital Key later this year.
Beginning a day prior to arrival, HHonors members may select their desired room on their mobile device. If Digital Key is available and the guest elects to use it, the key is activated as soon as the room is ready allowing the guest to proceed to and gain access to their room by pressing the virtual “unlock” button on the app.
To date, HHonors members have digitally checked-in more than five million times and the feedback has been positive.

We often find that a face-to-face visit to the front desk is a worthwhile step in order to receive a more desired room location, learn about property-specific details or promos and even getting an on-the-spot upgrade.
