IHG wants you to book direct and will pass on commissions they save when you choose to book with IHG instead of a third party like Expedia, Booking.com and Travelocity. And they really sweeten the deal with their Best Price Guarantee.
Here’s how it works. Book your stay directly on IHG.com or by calling IHG. Within 24 hours of booking, if you find a rate with a third party that is equal to or cheaper than that available with IHG, file a claim. After the claim is verified you will receive the first night of your stay free and if the price you found is cheaper, you will pay that rate for the rest of your stay. Both rates being compared must include all taxes and fees, must be for the same room type with the same view and must be available to the general public online. All terms must also match and the lower rate may not include any special deals or discounts.
You must be an IHG Rewards Club member to participate (it’s free to join). Claims must be submitted within 24 hours of booking and at least 24 hours before that property’s check-in time. Only one valid claim per person or household will be honored every 14 days.
