Delta's 20 Minute Bags on Time Guarantee is Now a Permanent Perk With 2,500 SkyMiles Attached!

Delta has introduced a 20 minute Bags on Time Guarantee with 2,500 SkyMiles attached! Sound familiar? Alaska Airlines, one of Delta's airline partners, has an ongoing 20 minute Baggage Service Guarantee as well and they used to be the only baggage guarantee in town. But now Delta is getting into the fray!
If your checked bags don’t arrive at the carousel within 20 minutes of the plane door opening on your domestic flight (within all 50 states and Puerto Rico), you are eligible to receive 2,500 bonus SkyMiles. You will need to complete a simple form within three days of your flight to submit your claim. It may take up to two weeks for the points to post to your account.
It’s a great perk to have your bags on the belt so quickly and 2,500 points is a great consolation prize when they are not.

To qualify for this offer your flight must be marketed and operated by Delta, Delta Connection or a codeshare flight, and the final leg must be marketed and operated by Delta
Lost, mishandled, damaged, oversize, overweight or special item baggage is not eligible
This offer is only valid on paid tickets for published fares and not for those traveling with an employee pass or industry discounted tickets
Delta reserves the right to suspend this baggage service guarantee at any time and without prior notice in the event of an airport baggage system malfunction, severe weather or other conditions out of Delta's control that would prevent timely baggage delivery
