After successful registration, you will enjoy:

• Gold status through September 9, 2016, 10 500-mile upgrades just for signing up by June 8 and if you earn 7,000 Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs) before September 9, 2016, you will enjoy AAdvantage Gold status until January 31, 2018

• Platinum through September 9, 2016, just for signing up and if you earn 12,500 Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs) before September 9 you will enjoy AAdvantage Platinum status until January 31, 2018, and 25,000 bonus AAdvantage miles

EQMs for each challenge are earned only on flights marketed by American Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines and Qantas.

For paid flights you will earn:

• 3 EQMs for each mile flown on Full-Fare First/Business Class

• 2 EQMs for Discount First/Business Class

• 1.5 EQMs for Full-Fare Economy

• 1 EQM for Discount Economy

American Airlines is quite flexible and has typically allowed multiple attempts at completing their status match offers, while United only allows participation in their status match challenge once every five years and Delta only allows participation once in a lifetime!
