As a very nice perk for those who hold one of 14 different American Airlines credit cards, you can enjoy savings of between 1,000 and 7,500 miles on American Airlines MileSAAver awards in the main cabin or premium class. The savings apply to one-way or round-trip travel to specific destinations originating in the continental US or Canada as long as you book by November 30, 2017, and fly by January 31, 2018.
These special discounted awards cannot be booked online but reservations booked over the phone are free at 1-800-882-8880. Booking through an airport agent or travel center will incur a $35 to $45 fee, which is waived for Executive Platinum Elite members using miles from their account.
A $75 fee will be charged for award tickets booked less than 21 days before departure. This charge will be waived for AAdvantage Executive Platinum, Platinum and Gold Elite members using miles from their account.
